Hear classical takes on some of the eeriest and most terrifying tunes at a Candlelight Halloween Special. On All Hallows’ Eve more than the evil spirits come out to play!
Taking place at the atmospheric St Anne’s Cathedral, the concert will be illuminated by the flickering glow of countless candles. From Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” to alarming music from The Exorcist, go on a musical journey through some of Halloween’s scariest highlights. It wouldn’t be a wicked time without hearing a few sinister classics after all.
Candlelight Halloween: A Haunted Evening of Classical Compositions
They usually feature screeching songs, creaking doors, horrifying howling, and suspenseful notes; Halloween songs are chilling and unsettling, as they should be. On October 31, find your seat inside St Anne’s Cathedral and prepare to embrace the darker side of life as the Arco String Quartet covers unnerving compositions and famous hits.
Franz Schubert’s Der Erlkönig, theme songs from The Addams Family, Ghostbusters, and more, as well as Charles Gounod’s Funeral March of a Marionette are some of the famously frightening melodies being brought to life in a hauntingly beautiful, candlelit setting in Belfast.
